Our lumber meets the highest industry standards meaning it’s denser, straighter, and more uniform, resulting in super load-bearing capacity and a stronger frame resistant to warping.
Our lumber goes through rigorous processing to ensure fewer knots and flaws, providing a more reliable and longer-lasting structure that does the job - beautifully.
Our lumber is fully treated for above-ground and ground-contact exposure, protecting it from decay, insects, and moisture.
Our metal meets the highest industry standards for thickness, tensile strength, and flatness, making it structurally sound and more reliable under stress with less risk of dents, bending, or buckling.
Our painted panels feature AkzoNobel’s industry-leading coatings—crafted with over 200 years of expertise to maintain vibrant color and resist chalking even in the harshest sun and weather.
With painted metal covered by AkzoNobel’s limited lifetime warranty and galvalume backed by a 25-year rust-through warranty, you can feel confident your building is protected by finishes made to endure.
Our panels undergo rigorous testing for wind shear strength and are engineered with a 9" screw pattern to reduce uplift in high winds. This ensures tighter, more secure panels that offer enhanced storm protection.
Closer spacing minimizes the flex and movement of metal panels over time, which reduces wear, squeaks, and creaking often caused by thermal expansion or strong gusts.
A tighter pattern distributes the load more evenly across the structure, reducing stress on individual screws and helping prevent premature loosening, leaks, or damage.
Our knee-braced steel trusses feature minimum 1/8" thick steel, and our wood trusses use 2x6 top and bottom chords—exceeding industry standards with unmatched strength, rigidity, and load-bearing power.
We don’t just build trusses—we fortify them. Every truss includes hurricane clips and joist hangers as standard, locking your structure together with industrial-grade precision and reliability.
Engineered to withstand high winds, shifting weather, and extreme conditions, our trusses are crafted to protect what matters most—because you don’t get a second chance in a storm.
Not only are our in-ground posts pressure treated, but we also use stronger .60 CCA (copper chrome arsenate) ground-contact treated lumber for our bottom bands to protect your building above-ground.
With solid corner bracing and head lock screws, your building resists twisting and shifting, keeping walls square and aligned through years of use and weather challenges.
From purlins to girts, you don’t have to worry about the structural integrity of your building being compromised because of our competitive prices. We never sacrifice quality and we don’t upcharge for it.
Rust-resistant and built for the long haul, our galvanized lag bolts ensure a durable, lasting connection that won’t degrade—so your structure stays secure, year after year.
Each post rests on wide, high-strength 16" composite footer pads that spread out the weight—helping prevent settling and keeping your building level and stable over time.
Galvanized lag bolts are driven through the post and into the concrete to form a locked-in connection—so in high winds, the post can’t slide out because it’s firmly anchored within the concrete.
We’re committed to using top-quality materials that result in a strong, long-lasting build—without inflating the price. While our buildings may not be the cheapest on the market, they’re built to stand the test of time, not cut corners. With Summertown Metals, you get a fair price for a structure that’s made to last.
We offer flexible options to fit your needs and your budget. Whether you want to purchase materials and build it yourself, add professional installation, or go fully custom, our pole barn kits are designed to give you the freedom to choose what works best for your project – and your wallet.
At Summertown Metals, we use only high-quality, contractor-grade materials—because cutting corners isn’t how you build something that lasts. From #1 grade metal with premium AkzoNobel paint to engineered trusses, galvanized fasteners, and ground-contact treated lumber, every component is chosen for strength, durability, and performance. It’s all part of our commitment to delivering buildings that stand strong for years to come.

A pole barn is a post-frame building method that uses large posts buried in the ground to support the structure, rather than a full concrete foundation. It’s a simple, efficient way to get strong, versatile space—whether for work, storage, or home.
Pole barn prices vary based on size, features, and whether you build it yourself or have it installed. On average, our kits start around $8,000 for smaller buildings and go up from there. We’re happy to walk you through options that fit your goals and your budget.
Our customers use pole barns for everything from garages and workshops to barns, equipment storage, livestock shelters, and even commercial spaces. They’re flexible by design—so you can make them work for you.
Yes! Many of our customers choose to DIY their pole barn with one of our material kits. We provide the materials for the experienced builder or weekend warrior.
Our kits come with everything you needed to build the structure either with just the materials if you want to build yourself or the external shell installed by our team.
A standard pole barn can go up in a few days with the right crew. For DIYers, it may take a couple of weeks depending on size, weather, and your availability. We help make the process as smooth as possible.
